Minneapolis Farmers Market

Do you enjoy visiting your local Farmers Market? I do. Not only are Farmers Markets a fun outing, but they are also a great way to support local agriculture and inspire your family to eat fresh, nutritious produce.

A couple weeks ago I visited our local Minneapolis Farmers Market for a guest post on Summer Tomato. If you’re not familiar with Summer Tomato, you MUST check it out. Darya Pino, its author, helps dissect all the complicated, misleading, and often contradictory nutritional information and distills it into sensible advice for eating better. Summer Tomato also features weekly Farmers Market updates from around the world, and this week’s update is my guest post about the Minneapolis Farmers Market. Please check it out here.

I love visiting farmer’s markets! And actually, we get our vegetables through CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). They’re organic, and we reduce our carbon footprint a bit. So we all benefit. We also don’t get to choose what we get each week, so it keeps me creative in the kitchen. :)
